When Alissa contacted me regarding a Trash the Dress Session, I could barely contain my excitement.. You may remember their amazing wedding from last year: Colorado Wedding Photography slideshow. We got together last week at the Evergreen Lake House (the same site as her wedding reception) for a spectacular session. For those of you not familiar with the concept of ‘Trash the Dress’ the idea is this: it’s an opportunity to get amazing bridal portrait photographs without having to worry about the state of the dress. So the session can be as extreme as the client likes – and in Alissa’s case she was pretty determined to get wet. So after playing around with various props (love her red cowboy boots!) she ventured into the water. I’ve been dying to post these, but since this was a surprise for her husband Josh, we’ve had to wait on the blog post until today, October 11th, when they celebrate their first anniversary.
