Last week I had the chance to do a trash the dress shooting workshop up in an old ghost town near Central City. It was such a great location with amazing rustic backdrops, fabulous bridal bouquets from Boulder Blooms, and gorgeous model brides to work with. I love taking advantage of opportunities like this.. it’s a chance to shoot for myself without the time constraints of a typical wedding day, and it’s a great opportunity to step out of my comfort zone. For anyone considering doing a bridal session or a trash the dress session I highly recommend it! Here are a few of my favorites..

Last weekend I attended an all-day shooting workshop in downtown Denver with the PPC (Professional Photographers of Colorado). The focus was high school senior portrait photography, and it was a blast – grungy urban locations with great textures, wonderful senior high school models, and an amazing group of talented photographers. It was all part of the inauguration of the Innovative Imagemakers’ Camera Road Trip – and what a perfect way to spend a glorious Colorado day!

As you can see, we had some wonderful high school models who were pretty much game for anything! Here are a few..

A few weeks ago, 12 other photographers joined David in Denver for a 1 1/2 day shooting workshop.. on one of the hottest days all summer! Despite the heat, we were able to get amazing shots of our models. Here are a few of mine:
