Vail in September is simply glorious, a breathtaking Colorado mountain backdrop with aspen leaves shimmering gold – and the ideal location for Sarah & Mike’s wedding. It was a day infused with love and joy, laughter and family. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Sarah & Mike exchanged vows in an intimate and heartfelt wedding ceremony at the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens in Vail, followed by an elegant reception at Cucina Rustica at the Lodge at Vail. Huge thanks to Emily Campbell from Bella Design and Planning who planned and coordinated this event to perfection down to every last exquisite detail. I’ve got the most amazing clients – I know I say that all the time, but only because it’s true :) And working with Katy & Aaron has been an absolute dream. They are such wonderful people – sweet and fun, natural and down-to-earth. They love to travel, and they love the outdoors. Their wedding day at Keystone Ranch was a perfect reflection of them – heartfelt and emotional, and full of love and warmth. A few favorites..

Torie & Matt tied the knot on a gorgeous September day during an emotional and heartfelt wedding ceremony at Keystone Ranch. It was a day surrounded by family and friends, full of love and joy and infectious laughter. Simply perfect. Everything about this day was dreamy – from the incredible couple (so down-to-earth and fun to work with) to the spectacular Colorado mountain backdrop (ah-mazing views) to the vintage elements incorporated in to the wedding decor (burlap accents and cobalt blue, vintage suitcases and birdcages – ♥). It was an incredible event, coordinated to perfection by Josh at Bella Design and Planning, and such an honor to be a part of. A few faves..

Breckenridge Wedding ~ Jessica & Travis

Happy Monday!! I’ve been so excited to share Jessica & Travis’ Breckenridge wedding. Working with these two has been an absolute blast – they are down-to-earth and laugh easily and are such a delight to photograph. Their Colorado mountain wedding at the Mountain Thunder Lodge was perfect, beginning with a heartfelt and emotional ceremony (not a dry eye in the house – including mine :) The reception that followed was a perfect celebration: raucous and wild and SO much fun. I love the personal touches that Jessica & Travis incorporated into the day, but my favorite deserves special mention: pez dispenser escort cards – how fun is that?! A few faves..

Keystone Ranch Wedding ~ Suepattra & Scott

Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Suepattra & Scott planned a Colorado destination wedding and tied the knot in July at Keystone Ranch. The entire day was flawlessly coordinated by Emily from Bella Event Design and Planning, and it was a perfect blend of rustic elegance – a majestic mountain backdrop and glorious Colorado weather. Suepattra & Scott are wonderful – so sweet and expressive and full of joy. I just love how they light up around each other.

Keri & Will’s wedding at Ten Mile Station, Breckenridge

When Will first contacted me about his upcoming Colorado destination wedding at Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge, we immediately clicked. Part of it was a mutual love for travel (I spent a good chunk of time (8 years!) living/traveling/working in Europe, and Will also has the travel bug having put in the miles gallivanting the globe on all sorts of adventures). Part of our connection was also that Will is a professional photographer (and an incredibly talented one at that!). A couple of phone calls later, after geeking out over f-stops and light, I was absolutely thrilled to be hired to be Will and Keri’s wedding photographer. It’s always a special honor when another photographer approaches me about shooting his or her wedding, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Will and Keri – they are simply amazing and I wish them a world of happiness together. Karen & Brian’s wedding ~ Mary’s Lake Lodge, Estes Park

Karen & Brian are the kind of people that light up when they see each other. Seriously beam. And their joy is completely contagious. It has been such an honor working with them for their Estes Park mountain wedding at Mary’s Lake Lodge.

Their outdoor ceremony at Mary’s Lake Lodge was such an honest reflection of their love for one and other, personal and intimate.

the toasts were so heartfelt and touching, beginning with Brian’s dad playing the guitar – not a dry eye in the house

and lastly, another favorite from their first look -with a backdrop of colorful aspen with a view of Long’s Peak in the distance. A perfect Colorado landscape, and given their love of the nature, so perfectly them.
