Just had to share this quick children’s portrait taken of my little guy this morning – he just lost his two front teeth and was so giddy with excitement, wondering if his friends will recognize him at school today ;)

You may remember Trudi and Matt – I was the photographer for their wedding back in June of 2007 with a ceremony at the Air Force Academy Chapel in Colorado Springs, and a rockin’ reception at Denver’s Grand Hyatt Pinnacle Club. Amazing wedding, amazing couple. And almost immediately after the wedding Trudi and Matt moved out of state. So when I received an email saying that they were planning a summer visit to Colorado with their 9-month old baby and wanted to schedule a portrait session, I was absolutely thrilled. Absolutely. Full circle. That’s what it’s all about.

Colorado summer portraits.. and with all of the rain we’ve been having everything is so vibrantly green and lush – a perfect backdrop for a portrait session. M & G are adorable sisters – so gregarious and expressive and full of energy. They danced for me, they twirled, they sang, they laughed, and they even braved the rustic nature of our location (translation: mosquitos and spiders!) Such troopers – and the result? here are a few:
One of the best compliments is when my clients come back to me year after year.. I get a chance to document each family as it grows and changes. And it is especially wonderful when I get the call from past wedding clients as they begin their families..
You may remember Sarah and Scott – I was the photographer for their wedding in July of 2007 at the Meadows at Marshdale in Evergreen. They came in to the studio a few weeks ago so that I could document the newest addition to their family – little M is four months old and is such a delight. His eyes are bright and curious, and his smile is infectious. I pretty much fell in love the moment I saw him.. Isn’t he adorable?
