Happy Friday! After a bit of a hiatus from the bloggy blog, I’m excited to bring to you today Jennifer & Nathan’s Cherry Creek Denver engagement session. Perfect weather, and the perfect time of year to capture the fall colors – I just love the sparkle and the vibrant golden autumn hues. Jennifer and Nathan are sweet and fun and romantic, and such a dream to work with (and their kiddos are absolutely adorable!) They will be getting married at Arrowhead Golf Club next spring, and it’s going to be ah-mazing! A few favorites..

This is Lila. Tiny. Sweet. Beautiful.

And a story. Because I’m still in awe at this small world we live in.

Lila’s mom is Erika, the owner, baker, and mastermind behind the delectable bakery in the Highlands called Living the Sweet Life. Erika and I met for the first time this summer when we happened to be working together at Lauren & Rian’s Chatfield Botanic Gardens wedding.

And this is where the ‘small world’ comes in..

Because when she introduced herself, Erika told me about her man JP – the same JP who happens to be a long lost dear friend of mine from days of yore, back from those years spent gallivanting around the globe. I met JP while living and working in Switzerland, in the tiny alpine village of Crans-Montana, where I worked for 8(!) summers (JP was there for two of them) It is a place that is so important to me, and the friendships formed during those years hold a special place in my heart. So to be able to reconnect in this circuitous manner is incredible. I’m still in awe. And honored to have the opportunity to photograph their newborn baby girl.

Wash Park Engagement Session ~ Laura & Noah

Laura and Noah laugh. And laugh. A lot. And their joy is completely contagious. We had such a blast shooting their engagement session in Wash Park, wandering around the flowers and the lake. I love how sweet and fun and playful they are together, and I am so excited about their wedding at the Denver Westin next August. Here’s a quick glimpse of a few of my favorites from their session..

Seawell Grand Ballroom DCPA Wedding ~ Robin & Justin

Happy Monday! I’m so excited to be sharing a few of the highlights from Robin and Justin’s elegant Denver Seawell Grand Ballroom wedding. The entire event was planned and coordinated down to every last exquisite detail by Julie Gambrell with Classic Creations, and the transformation of the DCPA Seawell Ballroom was absolute perfection. I adore working with Robin and Justin and their families – they are so wonderful and sweet, and it was such an joy to be a part of capturing their day. A few favorites..

Denver Family Portraits

Just a few favorites from a recent Colorado family portrait session with one of my all-time favorite families. You probably recognize the N Family – they have graced the pages of my website many times over the years, since before that little toothless wonder (pictured above) was born.

One thing I love about photographing families is documenting the interaction between the children and their parents – real authentic moments with all sorts of personality shining through.. A few of my faves giggles love ♥

Denver Maternity Session ~ Kelly & David

Just a few faves from a recent maternity session at Wash Park with Kelly & Dave (and their pups). I first met Kelly because she works within the wedding industry here in Colorado – she the mastermind behind Frosted Pink Weddings, a full service wedding planning company based in Vail (and we recently worked together on Kari & Nik’s recent Indian wedding in Beaver Creek where she was the coordinator ) She is the cutest pregnant mama! Congrats to you both – can’t wait to meet baby boy Karli soooon!

Grant Humphrey’s Mansion Wedding ~ Nicole & Greg

I have been so excited to share the photos from Nicole & Greg’s recent wedding at the Grant Humphrey’s Mansion in Denver. Nicole and Greg are the kind of people that light up a room – the exude such warmth and joy, and they completely and utterly adore each other. Everything about this wedding was dreamy. I love how these two infused their sense of style into their vintage garden wedding – with peacock feathers and kilts, antique skis and chandelier centerpieces. The wedding day was such a beautiful extension of them – so joyful and unique and eclectic.

Check out the incredible floral created by Lisa at Sweet Pea Flowers and the paper products created by the talented Julie Sandusky at JS Design Custom. Both Lisa from Sweet Pea and stylist Tina Gill of Worthwhile Style collaborated to create the most amazing decor.

Mile High Station Denver Wedding ~ Megan & Brandon

Everything about Megan &Brandon’s downtown Denver wedding was wonderful.. from the amazing couple to their fab friends to the incredible attention to detail and personalization that went into the planning of this day. Megan MADE her flowers. Yes, made. Out of paper. ALL of them. (wait til you see – I was blown away!) She also has a background in graphic design and did all the graphic elements for the wedding – the menus, placecards, programs. A few of the details..

Mile High Station is a unique venue located right in the heart of downtown Denver – a historic warehouse with a cool urban and industrial feel. I love all the brick walls and the exposed beams.
