Melissa & Kyle ~ engaged!

From our very first phone call I knew I wanted to work with them – they are warm and down-to-earth, and SO much fun. They admitted to being somewhat reluctant subjects in front of the camera, which of course I took as my own personal challenge :) And they did great! I just love their connection to one and other – how they light up around each other, and how they laugh. Alice & Jeff ~ Snowy Engagement Session

Alice & Jeff are sweet and down-to-earth, and so much fun! We had perfect timing for their Evergreen engagement session – with glorious Colorado bluebird skies and everything laden with fresh snow thanks to our recent storm that dumped buckets. Gorgeous! Here are a few favorites from their recent snowy engagement session at the Evergreen Lake House – a winter wonderland.

Colorado Wedding Photographer ~ Alissa’s Trash the Dress Portrait Session

When Alissa contacted me regarding a Trash the Dress Session, I could barely contain my excitement.. You may remember their amazing wedding from last year: Colorado Wedding Photography slideshow. We got together last week at the Evergreen Lake House (the same site as her wedding reception) for a spectacular session. For those of you not familiar with the concept of ‘Trash the Dress’ the idea is this: it’s an opportunity to get amazing bridal portrait photographs without having to worry about the state of the dress. So the session can be as extreme as the client likes – and in Alissa’s case she was pretty determined to get wet. So after playing around with various props (love her red cowboy boots!) she ventured into the water. I’ve been dying to post these, but since this was a surprise for her husband Josh, we’ve had to wait on the blog post until today, October 11th, when they celebrate their first anniversary. So Happy Anniversary, Alissa and Josh! My warmest wishes to you both as you celebrate your first anniversary!

Alissa and Josh’s wedding

Here’s my updated blog post of Josh and Alissa’s fabulous wedding – they were married last week at St Paul’s near the capital building in downtown Denver. After the ceremony we had the some time to roam around LoDo before heading up to the Evergreen Lake House for the reception. It was cold. And rainy. And we had an absolute blast! Alissa and Josh are so much fun to be around – their enthusiasm is infectious! They happily braved the elements to capture these shots..
