Savita and Reid ~ Hindu Ceremony

As promised, here are few more from Savita and Reid’s three-day Indian wedding at the Westin…

A few of the fabulous details..Giving credit where credit is due – Debbie at Save the Date Events did an amazing job coordinating this event. She put together a dream team of vendors – all three days deliciously catered by Bombay Bistro, the jaw-droppingly gorgeous cake by Kelley at Kelley Kakes, music by Washington DC Dhol player Dave Gupta of Dholi Mastana and DJ Kunal Bhat, videography by Chris Orwat from Premium Digital Solutions, and stunningly elaborate floral decor (including over 165 feet of strung orchids for the ceremony!) by Alicia at Bella Fiori. Simply and utterly spectacular.

What an amazing weekend with an incredible couple – my warmest congratulations to you both!

Savita and Reid ~ Hindu Ceremony Day One. Mehndi.

It’s been an amazing weekend shooting Savita and Reid’s three-day Indian wedding celebration at the Westin, and I feel so incredibly fortunate to have been a part of it. The entire event was a visual feast – vibrant colors, amazing flowers and decor – all seamlessly coordinated by Debbie at Save the Date Events. She and her team were absolutely phenomenal at attending to all the intricate and elaborate details. I can’t wait to share the images and more details, but for now here’s just a sneak preview of a few of my favorites from Thursday’s Mehndi ceremony.

Maria and Tim ~ married!

Maria and Tim tied the knot last weekend in a gorgeous ceremony at St Mark Church followed by a reception at the Terrace Gardens at Ken Caryl. Phat Daddy rocked the house – if you’ve never had a chance to hear them play you are definitely missing out!

Amy and Del ~ married!

Last weekend I had a destination wedding in California, just north of San Francisco in the gorgeous town of San Anselmo. I first met Amy and Del last October when I was shooting Shawna and Maz’s destination wedding in Hawaii – Amy and Del had attended as guests. So it was such an honor when Amy called wanting me to come to the Bay Area. Their wedding was lovely and intimate, and such a wonderful reflection of them.

I love this shot during the ceremony of Del and Amy first seeing each other..
